Returns
Guitars & Basses (Online & Phone Orders)
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return a
guitar or bass, here’s what you need to know:- Returns must be initiated within 3 days of receiving your order.
- To initiate a return, call us at 412-343-5299 for a return authorization number.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or the wrong product was sent.
- If your item shipped with “Free Shipping,” the original outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
- A 3.5% restocking fee applies to all canceled or returned orders to cover non-refundable payment processing fees.
- Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging materials included. For guitars and basses, that means protective plastic must still be intact on pickups and pickguards; all accessories, case candy, and paperwork must be included; original box and packing materials must be returned.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns or charge an additional restocking fee if items are not returned in original condition.
All Sales Final
We do not accept returns on the following:
- In-store purchases
- Local Pickup Orders (Buy Online / Phone)
- Closeout or clearance items
- Purchases involving trades
- Instruments modified at the time of sale or after (example: strap button or pickup installation)
- Amps, Pedals & Electronics. Due to the nature of electronic products, we do not accept returns on amplifiers, pedals, or other electronic gear. If your item appears defective out of the box, contact us immediately — we’ll work with you and the manufacturer on a warranty resolution.

This Custom Shop 000-28 model offers the finest tonewoods and the most resonant and light-weight Necks and internal components.
As one of only 24 Martin Custom Shop Expert Dealers worldwide, we have unfettered access to the Martin Custom Shop and their incredible world-renowned wood reserves. Empire Music Owner Joe Ravita has hand-selected these specific wood sets and designed the instrument in conjunction with Martin Custom Shop Master Designer Jimmie Kleintop. The goal was to offer the finest sonic experience Martin has to offer with the highest quality wood sets on Earth.
Our team went directly to the Martin Custom Shop and hand-selected each set of Guatemalan Rosewood for these builds. To ensure the guitars reached the highest quality levels, Joe went back to the Custom Shop weeks later and hand-selected each neck, front and rear block. Hundreds of parts were inspected, weighed and sorted to find the finest examples of each component.
Adirondack Tops are the soul of the most sought after vintage Martin guitars, so we couldn’t resist designing this model with the classic tonewood. The Adirondack top offers powerful and articulate tones with incredible range and character. Players will relish the power, head-room, clarity and classic Martin tone that the Adirondack delivers.
Guatemalan Rosewood is one of the most desired tonewoods in the world for guitarists and guitar makers. The booming tones of Guatemalan Rosewood are unmistakable. Slightly lighter and less dense than Honduran Rosewood, Guatemalan Rosewood offers huge bottom-end and incredible sustain. The top-end has chime with plenty of body.
In an effort to provide the most responsive and powerful instrument, we upgraded the top to the Authentic Thickness–this creates an extremely dynamic playing experience and demands the finest Adirondack Spruce.
Additionally, we upgraded the Golden Era Bracing by selecting the “hand-scalloped” design. The Custom Shop luthiers hand-carve each brace providing the finest bracing carve for each specific top. Players will immediately notice the power, tone and responsiveness of the design.
The 000 body shape with its short-scale provides a strong bass presence and comfortable playing experience. Players looking for a great song-writing or fingerstyle guitar will fall in love with this stunning Custom Shop 000-28!
