The Presentation Series features an ever-changing selection of premium tonewoods, and for this Grand Auditorium PS14ce, a gorgeous set of Honduran Rosewood paired with Adirondack Spruce for the top. Honduran rosewood is beloved for its powerful, throaty low-end response and clear trebles, also producing lush overtones that bloom as notes resonate. Adirondack spruce has a “springy” quality. Acoustically, it produces a robust output and more dynamic range than Sitka, which allows it to be driven aggressively for greater volume without distortion. The midrange tones also tend to have a richer, sweeter quality. A radius-style armrest enhances the PS14ce's playing comfort, and a striking set of appointments includes a Simons back wedge with an ebony backstrap and binding, paua edge trim and super-precise Gotoh 510 tuners.
