The Custom Shop 000-28 1937 gives players the sonic superiority of Martin’s Authentic Series paired with the everyday reliability of a true workhorse guitar. Regarded as the cornerstone of performance, Martin’s highly prized 1937 models set the benchmark for generations of instruments that followed. This guitar features time-tested construction details like Authentic bracing, hide glue, cloth strip construction, and an adjustable truss rod—giving you the responsiveness of a vintage Auditorium model with the flexibility and resilience of a modern-day build.

The 000-28 1937 also features proprietary Vintage Low Gloss process and is available in natural or vintage Ambertone burst finishes, along with your choice of Martin's signature low-gloss look or the lightly aged Stage 1 finish. Inspired by vintage guitars that were rarely played but carefully preserved, Stage 1 offers the look of age—light checking and subtle character—without the heavy wear found on more distressed models. It bears the marks of time, not the scars of the road.
