Designed with the most incredible Master Grade Deep Quilt Maple that we have ever seen from Martin, we are proud to present our exclusive Martin Custom Shop OM-28 model.

As one of Martin's worldwide Custom Shop Expert Dealers, we have unfettered access to the Martin Custom Shop and their incredible world-renowned wood reserves. Empire Music Owner Joe Ravita has hand-selected these specific wood sets and designed the instrument in conjunction with Martin Custom Shop Master Designer Jimmie Kleintop. The goal was to offer the finest sonic experience Martin has to offer with the highest quality wood sets on Earth.

Using world-class Maple for the top, back and sides of a design has always been a design that we have wanted to complete. The focus and definition of Maple matched with Martin's full and rich tone are a match made in guitar-playing heaven.

If you have always imagined a warm Martin with incredible balance, articulation and definition, you have found your dream guitar.

The goal of the design is to offer players a classic Martin experience--great bass response and warmth--however, providing a cleaner and more balanced experience. The OM body shape is a great match for this design because it allows for players of all styles and it benefits the Maple design by offering plenty of focus.

The secret to making this guitar work sonically was a marriage of bracing and scale length designs. 1/4” scalloped bracing was selected to allow the guitar to open up easily and create plenty of top-end volume. The 25.4” standard scale design keeps the guitar from losing the ability to stay clear and articulate. The design is intended to allow the instrument to sound as full and warm as possible while keeping the clarity that we demand.

We couldn’t design this model without some classic cosmetic appointments. The Diamonds and Squares Long Fingerboard Inlay Antique White Binding allow for a timeless design.
