The Castedosa JPC Short Scale Bass is the result of collaboration, experience, and a shared vision between Joel Peterson, Carlos Lopez, and Empire Music's Anthony Pecora. After spending time with the original prototype at NAMM 2026, Anthony worked directly with the Castedosa team to create a version that reflects the sounds and features he looks for in a great short-scale bass.

Built around the JPC platform, this Empire Exclusive model features the distinctive Conchers body shape, quartersawn maple neck, and comfortable "C" neck profile that have become hallmarks of the design. What separates the Empire version is its carefully chosen refinements, including a reverse-position Curtis Novak PB-90 Precision pickup, a favorite of Anthony's from one of his personal basses. The result is a voice that is punchy, articulate, and full of character, with a unique balance of warmth and clarity.

Additional touches like the matching headstock, non-painted neck, and optional rosewood fingerboard complete a bass that feels both familiar and refreshingly original.
