The Taylor Builder's Edition 514ce has been upgraded for 2026. The new upgrades include:

The Builder’s Edition 514ce Kona Burst embodies Taylor’s commitment to innovative craftsmanship, player-friendly guitar designs and sustainable sourcing. Featuring a beveled armrest and cutaway, chamfered body edges and a contoured Curve Wing bridge, this Grand Auditorium is designed for maximum comfort during extended playing sessions.

Shamel ash back and sides, responsibly sourced from Southern California, combine with a solid Sitka spruce top to deliver a warm, focused voice with woody overtones, punchy midrange, crisp trebles and a balanced low-end presence. Taylor's tone-enhancing Scalloped V-Class bracing. Scalloped V-Class bracing introduces a scalloped profile that unlocks a warmer low end and richer open-string resonance, while preserving the balance, pitch accuracy and projection that define V-Class. Excellent for strumming, fingerstyle and everything in between, this model excels in just about any musical setting.

The Action Control Neck refines the micro-adjustability of Taylor's standard neck design with a new shimless design that allows a player to make easy, quick micro-adjustments to dial in the string height for any situation. You don’t have to remove the neck or even the strings. 

A hand-sprayed Kona Burst and lustrous gloss finish are accentuated by a firestripe pickguard, an Italian acrylic rosette and Compass inlays. The Builder’s Edition 514ce comes equipped with premium Gotoh 510 antique chrome tuners and ships in a deluxe hardshell case.

This model comes equipped with Claria electronics that faithfully reproduce your sound in live or recording scenarios. The Claria Pickup System was developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers, and reimagines the under-saddle piezo pickup to deliver consistent plug-and-play acoustic tone in any setting. 

Note: After close inspection, this instrument has an impression on the lower bout back of the body edge high E string side. (See pics)
