Guitars & Basses (Online & Phone Orders)
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return a
guitar or bass, here’s what you need to know:- Returns must be initiated within 3 days of receiving your order.
- To initiate a return, call us at 412-343-5299 for a return authorization number.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or the wrong product was sent.
- If your item shipped with “Free Shipping,” the original outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
- A 3.5% restocking fee applies to all canceled or returned orders to cover non-refundable payment processing fees.
- Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging materials included. For guitars and basses, that means protective plastic must still be intact on pickups and pickguards; all accessories, case candy, and paperwork must be included; original box and packing materials must be returned.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns or charge an additional restocking fee if items are not returned in original condition.

- Layaway sales and payments
- Closeout or clearance items
- Purchases involving trades
- Instruments modified at the time of sale or after (example: strap button or pickup installation)
- Amps, Pedals & Electronics. Due to the nature of electronic products, we do not accept returns on amplifiers, pedals, or other electronic gear. If your item appears defective out of the box, contact us immediately — we’ll work with you and the manufacturer on a warranty resolution.

Description
This Maxon VOP-9 is in EXCELLENT overall condition. Cosmetically, it is very clean, only showing some very light wear. This is a used item, so it may have minor scratching and minor wear. Any significant marks will be mentioned in the description.

The VOP-9 is an updated vintage reissue based on the OD820, a pedal developed in the mid-nineties as an alternative to the glut of boutique, screamer ODs being released at the time.
Housed in the Nine Series chassis, the VOP-9 borrows the OD820's JEC NJM4558D op-amp and negative feedback loop clipping diode. The original pedal operated at 18 volts for improved dynamic response, while the VOP offers selectable 9 or 18 volt operation.
The VOP's control layout will be familiar to Tube Screamer aficionados, sporting knobs for Drive, Tone and Level. What may not be familiar is that the Drive knob acts as a blend control between the clean and distorted sounds, meaning that when the Drive knob is set to zero, no clipping is present. With traditional ''Screamer-derived designs, clipping is always present. This allows a broad range of tones to emanate from the VOP-9.
