Inspired by the holy grail of vintage acoustic instruments, luthiers in Montana meticulously crafted a J-45 just like the most popular and celebrated version in structure and components. The new 1942 Banner J-45 includes a Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top hand-sprayed with a historic-style burst, hot hide glue top bracing for better tonal response, and a bone nut and saddle. It features Light Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era.

Specifications:

Serial #: 22286021

Body Style: Round Shoulder

Body Shape: J-45

Body Material: Mahogany

Top: Thermally Aged Red Spruce

Back: Mahogany

Side: Mahogany

Bracing: Traditional Hand-Scalloped X-Bracing, Red Spruce Braces With Hide Glue

Binding: Single-Ply Top And Back

Body Finish: Murphy Lab Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer

Profile: Historic

Scale Length: 628.65 Mm / 24.75 In

Fingerboard Material: Rosewood

Fingerboard Radius: 304.8 Mm / 12 In

Neck Material: Mahogany

Fret Count: 19

Frets: Legend Wire

Nut Material: Bone

Nut Width: 43.81 Mm / 1.724 In

Inlays: Mother Of Pearl Dot

Joint: Compound Dovetail Neck-To-Body

Finish: Aged Nickel

Bridge: Rosewood; Rectangle, Open Slot

Saddle Material: Bone

Tuning Machines: Strap Style, Open Back, Cream Buttons, Aged

Pickguard: Tear Drop Tortoise, Aged

Truss Rod Cover: Black

Bridge Pins: Bone

Strings Gauge: .012, .016, .024, .032, .042, .053

Case: Period Correct Case

Accessories: Gibson Accessory Kit, Certificate Of Authenticity

We are proud to include a full professional setup to factory spec before delivering your new Gibson.
