Showcasing the Gold Label Collection’s finest tonewoods and most elaborate visual artistry, the Gold Label 917e SB delivers a deep, powerful sound and signature Taylor playability. Honduran rosewood and torrefied Adirondack spruce yield a harmonically complex voice with lush, blooming overtones and a sweet, played-in personality. Perfect for dynamic flatpicking and aggressive strumming, a deeper Grand Pacific produces thunderous lows and warm trebles, balancing a season, blended sound with pleasing musical clarity.

Fanned V-Class® interior bracing—applied with hot hide glue—enhances low-end resonance, projection, sustain and harmonic agreement between notes along the entire fretboard. A slender, long-tenon Action Control Neck™ dials up even more resonance while allowing for quick, easy string height adjustments. This model features a modified peghead shape with an angled-back design, script-style Taylor logo and paua purfling that culminates in a distinctive visual flourish at its crown.

Other aesthetic touches include a golden-brown “Teardrop Sunburst” top, a full-body gloss finish, new paua/mother-of-pearl Continental Deluxe inlays, a single-ring paua/Honduran rosewood rosette, a Honduran rosewood curve wing bridge, Indian rosewood bridge pins, grained ivoroid binding, and paua fretboard and top purfling.
