Guitars & Basses (Online & Phone Orders)
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return a
guitar or bass, here’s what you need to know:- Returns must be initiated within 3 days of receiving your order.
- To initiate a return, call us at 412-343-5299 for a return authorization number.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or the wrong product was sent.
- If your item shipped with “Free Shipping,” the original outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
- A 3.5% restocking fee applies to all canceled or returned orders to cover non-refundable payment processing fees.
- Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging materials included. For guitars and basses, that means protective plastic must still be intact on pickups and pickguards; all accessories, case candy, and paperwork must be included; original box and packing materials must be returned.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns or charge an additional restocking fee if items are not returned in original condition.

This MXR Randy Rhoads Special Edition Distortion+ is in EXCELLENT overall condition. Cosmetically, it is very clean, only showing some very light wear. This is a used item, so it may have minor scratching and minor wear. Any significant marks will be mentioned in the description.

A tribute to Randy Rhoads' monumental legacy, this pedal has been painstakingly matched to the legend's own MXR Distortion+ to recreate the same raw, overdriven tones heard on his most beloved hits.
The Long Story
In just a few short years, Randy Rhoads revolutionized the art of the rock 'n' roll guitar player, merging fluid, classically inspired legato passages and melodies with searing, violin-like leads and super-saturated riffs. One of the most crucial components of this riveting sound was the MXR Distortion+—Randy harnessed its raw energy to slam his high-gain amplifier with a torrent of harmonics to create the sonic signature that would etch an indelible mark on music history.
MXR celebrates his monumental legacy with this recreation of his own MXR Distortion+. For the first time in 42 years, the Rhoads family unveiled Randy’s pedalboard for the MXR design team at the family’s music school in Los Angeles—the Musonia School of Music. There, history was made as the MXR design team carefully opened the pedalboard, closely inspecting and documenting all they could from this rock ’n’ roll artifact. The engineers painstakingly spec'd Randy’s vintage Distortion+, with the direct involvement of sister Kathy Rhoads, and created this signature model to produce the same overdriven tones heard on Randy’s most beloved hits.
Inspired by a supersonic airliner he flew on while on tour with Ozzy Osbourne, Randy designed a Flying V-style guitar with a white finish and a pinstripe accent. That iconic instrument is the inspiration for this special edition of the MXR Randy Rhoads Distortion+.
