Used Powers Electric A-Type PF42 - Frozen Berry Metallic #663 with Original Case

This Powers Electric A-Type PF42 is in EXCELLENT overall condition. Cosmetically, it is very clean, only showing some very light play wear. This is a used instrument, so it may have minor finish scratching and minor playwear. Any significant marks will be mentioned in the description. All used models receive a full factory setup and hand-inspection before shipping.

When Andy Powers envisioned the A-Type, he drew from the spirit of the trailblazers of the 40s and 50s, crafting a guitar that feels truly fresh and original.  The Powers Electric A-Type is a fully enclosed, slim hollowbody guitar that embodies the energy of San Diego’s surf, skate, car, and music cultures.  From its groundbreaking body design to its meticulously crafted electronics and hardware, every detail of these small-batch guitars has been conceived from the ground up.

The PF42 pickups combine modern magnets with a partial aluminum enclosure to create a bold articulate sound. These pickups provide punch and clarity that will cut through any mix while staying balanced and musical. Even though the PF42s offer more punch and bite, they offer plenty of warmth and color to achieve fat wide range tone.

The Honduran rosewood fingerboard has an asymmetrical “split” radius that’s slightly flatter on the treble side, and more rounded on the bass side, allowing for easy playability and choke-free string bending. 

Extra features include automotive-inspired finishes, and resin knobs – which are inspired by surfboard and hot rod painting processes.  No two knobs are identical and feature layers of different colored resin, with each set taking hours to create. Paired with striking, automotive-inspired leather case, the A-Type is as visually captivating as it is meticulously designed.
