Crafted in the CBS era, this '74 Fender Stratocaster features the first major updates made to the Strat after Leo Fender sold the company. Fender made the headstock larger, changed the bolt-on neck to a three screw with micro tilt adjustment capability to change the neck angle, bullet style truss rod, and a "Thick Skin" polyester finish.

All of the major hardware on this guitar is original. It shows moderate fretwear due to it's age with grooves throughout the frets, but still has life left and plays well after a setup and the nut filed to accommodate the fretwear. The pickups are the original gray bobbins with a 3-way control switch. The master volume knob, switch tip, master volume, and neck tone potentiometer have been replaced and has a period correct capacitor. It has a true vintage Strat sound without a reverse wound middle pickup or the in-between pickup positions.

Overall this guitar is in very good condition for its age, and has expected finish and play wear including: scratching, chips, scuffs, heel cracks, and impressions. It is ready to show off its vintage vibes on the stage, in the studio, or as a collector's piece.
