Originally introduced as the Gibson Electric Spanish Series, the "ES" has become a mainstay and legend in the history of music. This ES-225TD is the second generation model of the ES-225 adding a second P-90 pickup and as a later edition, a floating bridge with trapeze style tailpiece.

Only 2754 of the dual P-90 version of this instrument were ever made, and it was marketed as Gibson's first thinline hollowbody.

The guitar has typical wear expected from a guitar this age with finish wear, finish checking, scratches, scuffs, chips, and impressions. It is all original except for the floating wood bridge has been replaced with a tune-o-matic. The original wood bridge comes in the hardcase that comes with this guitar. The frets show moderate wear, but have plenty of playing life left. Overall this 1958 ES-225TD is in great playing condition with making it ready for the studio, the stage, or solely as a collection piece.
