Fender Custom Shop ’62 Jazz Bass Relic, Rosewood Fingerboard, Aged Shell Pink
“The quintessential Jazz Bass in my opinion! Every time I play one of these I love it. That beautiful wide open scooped sound is always available, as well as the “close to a Precision” neck pickup and the “Jaco” bridge pickup sounds. Slap style is always spot on with both pickups on full. The 60’s “U” profile feels very comfortable with a very subtle vintage touch. Rosewood on a J never fails!” – Anthony (Empire Music)
The early 1962 Jazz Bass is perhaps one the most sought-after vintage versions of the instrument, with the rare combination of four stacked concentric control knobs and a flat-lam rosewood fingerboard. A two-piece select alder body wears a nicely worn Relic finish, and the quartersawn maple neck has a ’60s-style “J Bass U” profile, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 20 medium jumbo (6150) frets.
Custom Shop hand-wound Vintage Jazz Bass pickups deliver perfect low end, and a period-correct four-ply brown shell nitrocellulose pickguard lends vintage charm. Other features include a four-saddle vintage-style bridge, vintage-style tuning machines and a bone nut. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
The bass pictured is the actual bass that you will receive. It comes with Fender’s Factory Warranty and our 100% satisfaction guarantee! It will be professionally set up and ready to play before it leaves our store.
