This Gibson Custom Shop ’64 SG Standard is in VERY GOOD overall condition. Cosmetically, it is in very good shape but does show wear/blemishes in places. See below for a detailed description. It has been thoroughly inspected, set up nicely and guaranteed to play great when it arrives.

TOP: Finish scratching/swirling throughout; Deep scratch mid low E string side bout near pickguard.

BACK: Finish scratching/swirling throughout; Dimple lower bout high E string side.

SIDE(S): No significant marks, blemishes, or wear.

NECK: Finish chipping down back of neck and in between neck and binding; Finish bleed on neck/fingerboard binding.

NECK POCKET: No significant marks, blemishes, or wear.

FINGERBOARD: No significant marks, blemishes, or wear; Finish bleed on binding.

FRETS: Little to no visible wear. No grooves or divots.

HEADSTOCK: Finish scratching throughout.

HARDWARE: Intact and working properly; Shows play wear and scratching.

PICKGUARD: Has pick scratching.

BACK COVER(S): Has scratches.

PICKUP(S): Intact and working properly; Pickups replaced with Throbak Pre-T-301 Pickups (Originals not included).

ELECTRONICS: Intact and working properly.

And the balance, playability and look of the SG seemed to come into its own. For all those reasons, the Gibson Custom Shop is proud to present the newest member of the Historic Reissue family — the 1964 SG Standard Reissue. Along with the Maestro™ Vibrola and chunky neck profile, it has all the hyper-accurate vintage specs one could possibly want — original construction methods, a real red aniline dye finish, chemically-recreated plastics, replica electronics, and more. The result is perhaps the best looking, feeling and sounding SG Reissue yet.
