What are “Open Box” models?

These are instruments that have been opened and/or repackaged or have been returned. In most cases, they are in Like New condition showing very little wear if any. Any significant marks will be mentioned in the description. All “Open Box” models receive a full factory setup and hand-inspection before shipping.

When the Flying V debuted in 1958, it was ahead of its time — about nine years ahead, to be exact. Popular demand helped shape Gibson’s decision to reintroduce it in 1967, this time with a sleek new look and a Vibrola tailpiece. The coveted originals command a huge fortune, but this Custom Shop recreation is both accessible and accurate. Every profile, contour and detail has been rendered in exceptional detail for an unforgettable playing and ownership experience.

Note: After close inspection, this instrument has finish cracking on both sides of the neck heel seam, a small chip on the low E string side of the headstock, small blemish/finish crack on the high E string side of the nut, and a small part of the case stitching is sticking up at the bottom of the case.
