As one of only 24 Martin Custom Shop Expert Dealers worldwide, we have unfettered access to the Martin Custom Shop and their incredible world-renowned wood reserves. Empire Music Owner Joe Ravita has hand-selected these specific wood sets and designed the instrument in conjunction with Martin Custom Shop Master Designer Jimmie Kleintop. The goal was to offer the finest sonic experience Martin has to offer with the highest quality wood sets on Earth.

The Dreadnought body shape offers Martin’s most famous body shape to the build. Matched with the most powerful Adirondack Spruce top, this guitar simply screams. The Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood brings the bass response that Martin is known for and provides trebles that are incredibly dynamic.

Like many great guitars, the tonewoods are only part of the story. We have chosen to supercharge this instrument with Adirondack 5/16” scalloped bracing. The Adirondack Bracing gives an incredible boost to the output of the guitar while still allowing for all of the notes to stay well defined.

Paying homage to the HD-28V of the past, we have included a super-comfortable Modified V Neck Shape with a 1 11/16” nut width.

A classic cosmetic approach was used in the design. The guitar was completed with a hand-sprayed natural, high gloss, and nitrocellulose lacquer finish with Aging Toner. Dressed with a Style 28 Rosette, Pearl Diamonds and Squares Long Fingerboard inlay, and Golden Age 2500 Tuners, this exclusive Custom Shop HD-28V will bring the most sought after wood combination in the world to your collection.
