This limited edition takes things up a notch with a gorgeous, resonate top carved from rare bocote hardwood. This Central American tonewood sports distinct wood grain with fine lines and an attractive dark color that’s polished to perfection. Tonally, bocote is a great pick for a hybrid electric guitar. It’s reminiscent of rosewood with a big, powerful sound full of supportive bass and strong midrange. Paired with sapele for rich sustain sides and an ebony fingerboard for smooth fretting, this limited-edition T5z is a sight to behold and to hear. This model’s three-pickup design, consisting of a concealed neck humbucker, a visible humbucker in the middle position and an acoustic body sensor, yields a dynamic array of sounds ranging from lush acoustic tones to searing electric output, controlled by five-way switching and conveniently placed active circuitry for remarkable on-the-fly tone-shaping abilities.
